Summary
I once saw a movie a very long time ago called, "Honey, I Shrunk My Kids". Now given, I don't remember much of the movie, but I do remember the concept of "little people" living in a big world. This project allows me to put myself in those little shoes and imagine what I, myself, would do if I was a "little folk". During the process of making these photos, I found the shadow making particularly interesting, as in order to sell this image as "real" looking, the shadow needs to be perfect. I feel there will always be an uncanny thing about seeing normal humans shrunk down to a couple inches, but you can at least make the brain question itself with a perfect shadow. I'd like to imagine that I succeeded in tricking that brain for at least a second, I figured a new way to make a shadow that seemed to be far more convincing (and easier) than other methods. Finally, from the images you can see that if I was a "little folk", I'd spend my time spectating the "giants" as I'm sure I'd be examined as a "little folk".
